Internationally recognized as a humanitarian and children's advocate, Princess Elizabeth has labored long and hard to improve the quality of life for the people in her war-torn country. Working with RUDO the Institute for Orthopedic Prosthetics, her nonprofit charitable organization provided the parts required to construct limbs for the worst case, young victims, often injured by land mines. In cooperation with the International Children's Heart Foundation, the Princess has developed a program to provide open-heart surgery for hundreds of children.

Now, Princess Elizabeth Foundation needs the financial support of generous Americans who feel a global responsibility to nurture, love and protect abandoned and suffering children. The recently opened "Children's Resource Center" in Belgrade, is providing psychosocial intervention, early childhood education and rehabilitation for special needs children. Beneficiary groups include pediatric social cases, children of displaced families and needy children of refugee families.
